About me
I’m Mike and I like to build things.
I wasn’t always inclined towards construction. I spent many years in university not knowing exactly what I wanted to do. I even ended up with a law degree while I was figuring things out. It wasn’t until my mid twenties that I took a job with a concrete company and began to feel the deep sense of satisfaction that working with my hands brought me. Since then I’ve apprenticed under a contractor and held jobs in a number of other trades soaking up as much information as possible.
The more I learned the more I wanted to learn and I’ve been devouring the building blocks of residential construction as well as the finishing minutia. I’ve even dabbled in plumbing and electrical. With such varied experience I’ve begun to understand how different components of the building process work and fit together, and how to plan a job and fit all the varying sub-trades in order to create a space that someone will love.
I’ve been doing this on my own since February of 2017 and have run Michael Moser Contracting since Summer of 2018. Every day that I do this I try to learn and get better.
When I’m not working I like to follow the Canucks, read and spend time with my girlfriend. Even though I don’t know a lot about cars, one day I hope to build myself a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible.
Our Process
Our renovation process always starts with a FREE consultation where we talk about your project needs, goals and vision. If we feel like it is a good fit and that we can help you achieve your goals, we will submit a proposal. If both sides are happy, then we will begin to work on the design. We encourage homeowners to be as involved as they want to be in the renovation process.
After all, it’s your home!
We then order materials, begin our scheduling and walk through prior to construction. We understand how important & stressful home renovations can be and are aware of how difficult it is to find someone you trust to allow into your home. We do not take this lightly and pride ourselves in not only providing exceptional service, but also treating each of our clients & their homes with respect.
